  • Sensory Friendly Films at AMC
AMC is proud to partner with the Autism Society to offer unique movie showings where we turn the lights up, and turn the sound down, so you can get up, dance, walk, shout or sing! Our Sensory Friendly Film program is available on the second and fourth Saturday (family-friendly) and Tuesday evenings (mature audiences) of every month. Please check your local theatre listings for specific showtimes.  Please check times on the AMC website.

Join Howard County Autism Society for this beginner’s guide to registering and accessing services for your child from the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration.   Meet at HCAS in the Howard County NonProfit Collaborative, 9770 Patuxent Woods Drive, Columbia, MD.  Park and enter from the rear of the building through double glass doors with number “100.”  Signs in the lobby will direct you to the room for your meeting.
  • Autism Society National Conference to be Held in Washington DC/Bethesda  

July 10-12, 2018

The National ASA Conference comes home to Washington DC/Bethesda this summer with an Opening Reception, Luncheon Keynote Session, breakout sessions and transportation to the Day on the Hill Event with breakfast provided at the Capitol.  What a great opportunity to stay local while attending this event!  Individuals, families and professionals are encouraged to attend.

Howard County Autism Society is scheduling visits to our elected officials on July 12th during the day.  Join them in advocating for individuals with autism and their families to our local delegation.  If you would like to be part of those visits, please email melissa.rosenberg@howard-autism.org.
